ITR AT THE 21ST TRADE FAIRS OF INVENTIONS REWARDED IN 2013 AT THE WORLD INVENTION TRADE FAIRS AND EXHIBITION.

The ceremony of awarding diplomas and statuettes of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, which took place on 11 February 2014 in the Lecture Hall of the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw, opened the 21st Trade Fairs of Polish Inventions Rewarded in 2013 at the World Invention Trade Fairs and Exhibition.
The presence of the following figures added splendour to the occasion: Dariusz Bogdan, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Economy, Jacek Guliński, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Sławomir Wachowicz, the Deputy President of the Patent Office, Leszek Rafalski, President of the Main Council of the Research Institutes, and Ewa Mańkiewicz-Cudny, the President of the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations - NOT.
During his speech, Minister Dariusz Bogdan said: “The capability of creating new products and technological solutions influences the economic development of our country. The Polish scientific and technological thought is well-known and appreciated worldwide.” He also pointed out that the Trade Fairs of Inventions rewarded at world exhibitions makes up a “perfect place for the integration of circles related to developing and inspiring invention in Poland with the circle of entrepreneurs. It facilitates the establishment of new contacts and cooperation between inventors and investors.”
The Tele and Radio Research Institute was awarded two diplomas from the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Prof. Lena Kolarska-Bobińska, for two inventions that were rewarded at international trade fairs in the previous year - Programmable field controller for intelligent electrical grids Smart Grid - MUPASZ 710 plus, - Large scale laboratory module device for hazardous waste utilisation. Our stand was visited by people interested in new technologies, science and inventions, namely Prof. Jacek Guliński, among others. The inventions presented by the IRT workers enjoyed a great interest.
